The Ski Resort

Mount Cheget ski resort is located at the North Caucasus near Terskol, and is only a few miles away from Mt Elbrus. Three chair lifts take you up to 3,000m/9,843ft above sea level, where you find a t-bar. The ski resort boasts a total of 20km/12.4mi of slopes.

Mt Cheget is not suitable for beginners. The only option is one 350m/1,148ft long green run at the t-bar on the peak. Experienced winter sportsmen, however, will find steep slopes and challenging runs. The black run Cheget is among the most difficult slopes in the world.

Furthermore, Mt Cheget is a back-country paradise. From wide, steep runs at the southern slope to the demanding Dollar Route on the north face, diverse deep snow fun is guaranteed.

Getting here

Terskol is located close to the Georgian border. The closest airport and train station are 112km/70mi away in Nalchik. Buses connect the city to Terskol. Alternatively, you can use the airport in Mineralnye Vody, or the train station of Pyatigorsk.
