Amplid Skis

The Bavarian Peter Bauer proved that small freeride and snowboard companies are not only founded on the other side of the Pond when he came together with his friend Anian Thrainer to form Amplid in 2005. After gathering several years of experience working at Burton, he believed it was time to produce skis and boards himself which “make a day of sport in winter even better” – and he made this his personal quest.

Amplid is still today the only company which has produced both snowboards and skis from day one. In the Upper Bavarian town of Fischbachau, the company develops winter sports equipment in constant communication with local testers with only one aim in mind – building the perfect skis and snowboards!
