Fischer Transalp 86 CTI Pro (Backcountry Touring Ski 2023/2024)

Product Summary

Due to its lighweight construction the Fischer Transalp 86 CTI Pro is easy to handle not only downhill but also during longer ascents. The Fischer Transalp 86 CTI Pro's full retail price is 800 €. The Ski costs roughly 190 € more than the average price of all Backcountry Touring Skis, making it a real luxury Ski. This ski is best suited for aggressive skiers who want to push the ski to its limit. The Transalp 86 CTI Pro is a more off-piste oriented ski which rides great in deep powder. Thanks to its versatility however, it is also fun on groomers from time to time. The ski is available from 155 to 183cm.

The ski in details

Steep, icy, difficult. The Transalp 86 CTI Pro is designed for precisely these conditions. An extended titanal insert provides maximum stability in the harshest conditions. A double carbon layer and a hand-selected Paulownia wood core make this ski even lighter. A weapon for ambitious ski tourers in a mid-width for universal use.

Concept of success Shaped Ti

An insert made of Titanal in the ski center, provides maximum stability, power transmission and downhill performance.

Weight single piece (g) / Size (cm) : 1150g / 176cm

Technologies

Air Tec
The weight of the woodcore is reduced by 25%, without loosing bending and torsional stability. This is possible because of the special milling pattern.

Carbon-Stringers
Special Carbon Stringers ensure that weight is kept sensationally low with balanced flex and an optimised weight-torsion ratio.

Sandwich Sidewall Construction
Wood core combined with ABS sidewalls in a classic Sandwich Construction for balanced flex and perfect rebound.

Shaped Ti 0.5
Matching the thickness and shape of this high-strength alloy to the performance. Targets and geometry of a ski allows optimal grip and stability with a smoother ride.

Sintered Bases
Sintered bases have exceptional waxing properties and a very long service life.

Tour ROCKER
The shorter contact length of the ski ensures that turn initiation is easier and requires less effort. Five different types: All Mountain ROCKER, Freeski ROCKER, Tour ROCKER, On Piste ROCKER, Hybrid ROCKER.
