Dynastar M-Vertical 88 (Backcountry Touring Ski 2023/2024)

Product Summary

The Dynastar M-Vertical 88 is the perfect tool during both downhill rides and steep ascents. Thanks to its low weight, the ski is easy to master even on longer trips. The Dynastar M-Vertical 88's full retail price is €1,210. The Ski costs roughly €600 more than the average price of all Backcountry Touring Skis, making it a real luxury Ski. Effortless to ride at all speeds, this ski is just right for all intermediate skiers. The M-Vertical 88 is a more off-piste oriented ski which rides great in deep powder. Thanks to its versatility however, it is also fun on groomers from time to time. Available lengths for the ski are ranging between 156 and 180cm.

The ski in details

A touring ski by nature, the Dynastar M-VERTICAL 88 ski has a balanced technical feel that's equal parts ascent and descent.

Its Hybrid Core uses a blend of paulownia wood and polyurethane for a lightweight design that feels good on the climb and delivers a smooth ride on descent. Sandwich construction and full sidewalls provide confident edge control in technical terrain and varied conditions.

Technologies

HYBRID CORE
Our best solution for a unique on-snow feeling: blending the performance of wood with the lightness and smooth snow feel of PU.

HYBRID CORE PAULOWNIA PU
The Hybrid Core technology is combined with Pawlownia Core with a density of 300 g/m3, reducing the ski's weight by an average of 15 to 20% in comparison to a poplar core.

SANDWICH FULL SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION
With the Full Sidewall construction, full-length vertical edges from tip to tail help maximize grip, precision, balance and power.

SINTERED HD BASE
Sintered HD Base offers great glide for all ski conditions.

TIP ROCKER
Rocker moderate tip only. It facilitates the flat pivot while combining softness and tolerance in the curves. The rocker is moderated so that as soon as the ski is on the edge, the ski works in curve on the whole length of contact of the edges.

FIBRE BASALT 2NDE GENERATION
Similar mechanical properties to fibreglass but with a reduced weight (-25%). It also offers absorption properties, to create the ideal reinforcement for Touring/Free Touring.

FIBERGLASS TORSION BOX
The fiberglass torsion box is a technology used on M-Line Range. The wood part of the hybrid Core is surrounded by a Fiberglass. It brings vertical reinforcement enhancing the comfort of the skiers and the on-snow feeling.
