The Ski Resort
With around 14 meters (46 feet) of fresh snow per season, Myoko Kogen is one of Japan's winter sport destinations with the highest chance of snow. The area is divided into nine different mountain regions: Myoko Akakura Onsen, Ikenotaira Onsen, Myoko Suginohara, Seki Onsen, Akakura Kanko, Myoko Ski Park, Madarao Kogen and the Tangram Ski Circus. Every part has its own highlights: While Myoko Suginohara boasts the longest run in the country with 8.5 kilometers, the steepest run in central Japan (38 degrees) can be found in Akakura Onsen Ski Resort.
Mogul slopes, long runs and powder of the first class - Myoko Kogen certainly has a lot to offer its guests. There are also several ski schools and child care possibilities for children.
Please note that the seperate parts of the ski area do not share the same ski pass. Different ski passes are sold, comprising either one or several of the area's parts.
