Plenty of nice carving slopes between Hermosa Park and the Legends lift!

Good skiers will find a variety of beautiful intermediate trails spread out all over the entire resort (except on the easy slopes off of Twilight). For pleasure skiers, the day begins with the Purgatory Village Express and the groomed-to-perfection Upper Hades trail. For more of a challenge, get warmed up on the mogul slope Styx. Then it's off to the numerous blue (easy trails are green in the US and intermediate ones are blue) trails serviced by the Hermosa Park Express lift. Keep moving in the direction of the Legends lift, and the slopes get more and more challenging with every run. There are even a few mogul-dotted black diamonds thrown in there (Bull Run, Blackburn Bash). Durango Mountain Resort can definitely keep intermediate skiers well-entertained for a day or two, but if you're planning on staying longer, you might find yourself wishing for a few more slopes.
