Austria is covered in snow, and it just won't stop. Starting slowly at first, the current snow masses more than make up for any lack of powder at the beginning of the season. The Northern Alps are deep in snow. Numerous resorts have been completely cut off from the outside world, with extemely high danger of avalanches in most of them. Others have turned into a perfect winter wonderland. Zillertal Arena is one of the resorts that boast amazing amounts of snow.
At Zell am See - Kaprun, another 100cm (3.3 ft) of snow are expected to add to the already enormous amount of powder by Friday, 11 January.
At Obergurgl, even the horses are having trouble making their way through the snow.
