Gigantic terrain parks and endless powder slopes!

At Whistler it seems like everything is just a little bit bigger, higher and farther than what you’re used to, and its terrain parks are no exception! The Nintendo terrain park on Blackcomb is without question one of the largest and best terrain parks in not only Canada, but in the entire world. So we weren’t surprised to find that freestylers are only allowed into the Highest Level Park with a safety helmet and after having signed a waiver. The incredible “Nintendo Super Pipe” (found in the Nintendo terrain park), not to be confused with the smaller pipe located a bit higher up than the super pipe, is another fancy feature. But the kickers, rails, etc. at Whistler Blackcomb don’t only cater to experts; apart from the easier lines in the Nintendo terrain park, the Big Easy Terrain Garden not far from there also accommodates rookies.

The elongated Habitat terrain park up above the Emerald Express on Whistler Mountain is an intermediate park and just right for boarders with a bit of terrain park experience under their belts. If you’re the kind of boarder who prefers riding snow in its unformed state, Blackcomb is the mountain that will give you the most powder bang for your buck. Make sure you check out the double black runs out off of Spanky’s Ladder and the Couloir Extreme in the Jersey Cream Bowl.
