It should come as no surprise that Stubaier Gletscher picks up the full 10 points when it comes to its snow levels. Aside from one single run, all the trails here are higher than 2,300 metres above sea level, and it tops out at a towering 3,210 metres. In February 2016, the average snow depth on Stubaier Gletscher was 245 cm, with 5 centimetres of fresh snow falling on average every day. Both of these figures are unparalleled in Austria. With an average of over 250 days of skiing every season, Stubaier Gletscher is one of the top 10 ski resorts in the Alps in terms of length of season. Despite these excellent conditions, the operators of the ski resort leave nothing to chance. Almost 70 snow cannons ensure that at least 25% of the runs are covered by snowmaking.
