The Ski Resort

The tranquil Tyrolean ski area Schlick 2000 with its predominantly blue and red marked slopes is especially recommended for beginners, families and slightly advanced skiers.

The descent from the Sennjoch, the highest point of the ski area at 2,240 metres above sea level, is particularly worthwhile for beginners and those returning to alpine winter sports. From there you can continue on the Burgstall run to the Panorama run, which is also marked in blue, and thus ski all the way to the base station of the Sennjoch cable car or even further on the Panorama run to the base station of the Kreuzjoch cable car I and then turn into the downhill run down to the valley. From the top station of the Kreuzjochbahn I you can also take the panorama descent.

From the Sennjoch there are also two red marked downhill runs, the Mitterjoch and the Zirmach run. Via these two runs one gets back to the blue marked Panorama run. The red marked Galtalm run starts at the top station of the Galtalm lift and runs parallel to it.

For really sporty skiers there are three variant downhill runs along the Zirmbachbahn in the ski area Schlick 2000. The Kanonenrohr and Latschen runs branch off from the red marked Zirmach run, the Zirbenschuss run on the other hand from the blue marked waterfall run.

Snowboarders and freestylers cavort in the Funpark Free Nature Park. On the freestyle elements new moves and tricks are practiced and the own skills are presented.

The youngest ones feel really at home in BIG Ron's Kinderland, the home of the popular mascot BIG Ron. Here, ski instructors and carers teach the little ones their first turns on two boards and the fun of winter sports. Very young visitors aged 3 months and over can be accommodated in the play and warm-up room so that mum and dad can explore the slopes.

The Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch at 2,136 metres above sea level is an inviting place to stop for a bite to eat. Located directly at the Kreuzjoch cable car mountain station, the restaurant serves fresh spare ribs, chicken, dumpling variations, a rich salad buffet and children's menus for hungry piste fleas every day. It also has the highest pizzeria in the ski area. On the sunny plateau with ice bar you can make yourself comfortable in a deck chair or in one of the beach chairs.

At the mountain station Sennjoch is the rustic Sennjoch hut. Here you can either have lunch or have a drink or two at the ice bar between the runs.

If you are looking for special culinary delicacies, the Zirmachalm is the best place to stop. Here you can warm yourself at the tiled stove and enjoy a fine glass of wine in addition to the delicacies.

Delicious Kasspatzln or Kaiserschmarren are served in the Schlickeralm at the valley station of the Sennjoch cable car. In the afternoon it is worthwhile to stop here for a break with Wolfgang's homemade strudel.

A special highlight after skiing is a toboggan ride at night. The 3 km long track, which starts at the Froneben middle station at an altitude of over 1,350 metres, is illuminated until 9 pm on Wednesdays.Less action-packed is a winter hike through the snowy landscape. At the Froneben middle station, for example, the 2 km long hike along the Scheibenweg to the panorama lake starts. The winter hiking trail from Fulpmes to the Schlicker Alm is also worthwhile. This tour starts at the Schlick 2000 valley station and has a walking time of about two hours.

If normal hiking is not enough for you, you can take cross-country skis to the high-altitude trail at the Schlick 2000 ski centre. It is situated at over 1,600 metres and offers a cross-country skiing experience of a different kind
