61 mountain restaurants and lodges says it all

Not even a week of holiday would be enough to visit all the lodges and restaurants in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. The 61 lodges and mountain restaurants offer everything from award-winning cuisine from the premium “Der Schwarzacher” at the valley station of the Unterschwarzachbahn through to the cosy fireside rooms of the “Pfefferalm”. The Skicircus definitely focuses on offering a cosy atmosphere, strictly shying away from any form of “dining en masse”.

On the numerous sundecks, e.g. on the Panoramaalm on Kohlmais at 1650 m, guests can enjoy some food and drink in the open air if the weather is good. The mountain restaurants and lodges are sufficiently signposted from the slopes and always accessible without taking your skis off. Après-ski fans looking for a bite to eat before the party will also find plenty of options directly by the valley stations. If you are looking for both, “Der Schwarzacher” comes highly recommended. If you are looking to catch some rays on high, the Westgipfelhütte is the place to head for. At 2096 metres above sea level, it is the highest ski lodge in the Skicircus and serves up the best views over the vast ski area to accompany its down-to-earth Austrian fare.

Again, we can gladly award Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn the full 10 points in this category too. It is hard to imagine how the ski area could offer more choice in this category. Whether you want food from star-chefs or straight-forward mountain meals, whether you are dreaming of a sun-kissed sun deck or a cosy fireplace – there is something for every taste here.

Huge selection, I think around 50 cabins. There are a few black sheep, but the majority are perfect. There is something for everyone, from rustic to modern. I have not yet found a ski resort with a better selection, that's why I got the best rating
