Great slope conditions, but outdated lifts

The slopes at Mölltal Glacier are well groomed and are still in top condition even in late spring. The slopes are well signposted. But also the manageable size of the ski area makes orientation here very easy.

The lifts, however, are a bit outdated. The Glacier Jet is the only chairlift with a weather protection hood. To get to the ski area or back to the valley at the end of the day, you have to take the Mölltal Glacier Express. However, the funicular only runs every 30 minutes. Therefore, you should pay attention to the departure times in advance to avoid long waiting times.

At the edge of the piste there are not sufficient markings, so with fog and clouds it already happens that you no longer know if you are still on the slopes at all. If there is fresh snow at night, there is no more preparation in the morning. Which leads to deep snow on the slopes.
