The Hinterstoder Höss ski area in the Pyhrn-Priel region is one of the largest in Upper Austria, along with Dachstein West, which, however, already extends into the Salzburg region. 40 varied kilometers of slopes prove that there are equally worthwhile ski resorts in this region of the Alpine Republic. Here, too, winter sports enthusiasts can expect impressive mountain views - from the "Totes Gebirge" mountain range to the Bavarian Forest.
Thanks to the Inferno slope and the World Cup run (the only one in Upper Austria), sporty skiers will find their adrenaline kick, while families will appreciate the discounts and the Kidspark. Thus, Hinterstoder presents itself in our test as an "all-rounder" among the ski resorts, which we can definitely recommend, especially for a day trip.
