Ski Resort Boi Taüll in the Spain Pyrenees: Position on map

Boi Taüll Ski Resort

Trail Map Boi Taüll

The Ski Resort

The Boí-Taüll ski area is located in the Spanish Pyrenees in the province of Lleida at an altitude of up to 2,751 metres. Around half of the 45 kilometres of pistes are marked red, making them ideal for advanced skiers and snowboarders. In addition, there are around 14 kilometres of black marked runs for really sporty skiers. With just under 10 kilometres of green (very easy) and blue marked pistes, beginners, returning skiers and families will also find beautiful downhill opportunities.

The access to the ski area is at Pla de Vaques, 2,020 metres above sea level. From there you can take the lifts to the slopes. The slopes below the 2,250 metre high Pla de Les Bassetes are mainly green (very easy) and blue marked. They are therefore ideal for beginners and returning skiers.

For advanced and sporty skiers, on the other hand, the slopes are even higher. At Ralco del Cerri there are inviting red-marked runs, two of which even lead all the way back to the valley, as well as three shorter black-marked runs.

If you are looking for a real challenge on the one hand and a magnificent view on the other, head for the 2,750 metre high Puig Falcó, the highest point in the Boí-Taüll ski area. From there, long red-marked slopes and three challenging black-marked variants lead back down to the valley.

For snowboarders and freestylers, there are two snow parks in the Boí-Taüll ski area. Here they can practice new moves and tricks and show off their skills to others.

On Mountain Dining

Of course, the Spanish ski area also caters for the physical well-being. There are refreshment stops at the valley station in the Vall de Genebrell. There is also a cosy mountain hut on the red marked slopes below the Pla de la Carlina.

Must-Ski Runs

An absolute highlight in Boí-Taüll is the descent from Puig Falcó, the highest point in the ski area at 2,750 metres. From there you can enjoy a unique view of the Pallars Jussà and the neighbouring ski area of Port Ainé. Puig Falcó is the highest point of all the ski resorts in the Catalan Pyrenees. It borders the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

After the lifts close, it is easy to get down via the valley runs. The runs from Puig Falcó and Ralco del Cerri are marked in red. In addition, there are two shorter green marked valley runs below the Pla de les Bassetes.

Activities

The neighbouring Port Ainé ski resort is also worth a detour. The Boí-Taüll ski area also borders the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. This is the only national park in the autonomous region of Catalonia and offers numerous leisure activities.
