A family oriented pension in Ötztal, Tyrol, located at 1550 meter above sea level, in a friendly small mountain village, just 29 km from Sölden and 15 min. away from the Skilifts of Hochötz.
The Pension Trofana is a family run pension in the heart of the Ötztal mountains. Niederthai is tourists’ beloved destination in winter and summer too thanks to its peaceful atmosphere and the fascinating landscape. Due to its facilities the Trofana is especially ideal for families.
We consider important not only simply to be accommodation providers, but also real hosts to our guests, therefore we offer services, which may contribute to the high quality of time spent at the Trofana: free bicycle rental, playing room for kids, Guitar Hero room bowling ally. In addition to the pension has a separate bar in the basement of the house for those who wish to "stay out” longer in the night.
Thanks to the perfect location you can reach the „Hotspots” in Niederthai in just a few minutes.The children pistes start almost just outside the door and the sledge run or cross-country skiing routes are also just a few minutes from our pension.
Our cuisine offers every evening a nice variety of international and local foods, on top of some delicious Hungarian specialties. We think the outstanding tastes of our traditional homeland kitchen can offer unique food experiences to make your stay in Ötztal even more memorable.
Room / Family room:
Our spacious rooms and family rooms are furnitured in traditional Tyrolian style. All rooms have their own bath/shower and mainly separate toilette, safe, TV, sitting corner, balcony. The extra family rooms with the kitchen corner and the connecting door between the 2 bedrooms are especially comfortable for families with 2-4 kids.
Leisure activities
Niederthai is simpley the most family oriented skiing area in Ötztal. Skiing, carving, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, hiking or snowshoe walking, sledging, hot wine or just simply lying in the sun on the balcony – whatever you want you’ll feel great. The beginner’s slopes in Niederthai are best for families with smaller kids, and one of these slopes starts just 50 m from the door of the house.
For advanced skiers Sölden, Gurgl, Obergurgl, Hochötz, Kühtai and our glaciers (Rettenbacher and Tiefenbachferner) are all available in approx. 15 – 30 min.
The ski-school and skishop is located just in front of the pension and as our guest you would get discount from rental and skiing lesson prices.
