Trail Map Mt Buller - Mt Stirling

The Cross-Country Area

One of the biggest offers for cross-country skiers in Australia can be found in the area of Mt Stirling and Mt Buller in Victoria. A total of around 77 kilometres of trails, sometimes more and sometimes less groomed, are available here on the neighbouring mountains. The use of the trails is free of charge.

At Mt. Stirling there is the largest offer with 68km of trails. For beginners the Circuit Road and the Practice Slope are suitable. The rest of the trail network is very ramified and should only be used by advanced skiers. They should stay on the trails and always have a map with them. On the way you will pass huts where you can have a break and use the toilet.

The cross-country network at Mt Stirling is also connected to the trails at Mt Buller via two connecting trails (category medium to difficult). The easy circuits with a total length of 9 kilometres run on the edge of the village and are easy to reach. From the tracks you can enjoy a great mountain panorama of Mt Stirling and the Bluff. By the way: Mt Buller also offers a wide range of activities for alpine skiers.
